What’s a Community?

“Community- a social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government, often have a common cultural and historical heritage.”

To me a community is place for people to come together to share their ideas and experiences and to help one another. The main aspect of a community is that everyone knows each other to the point where it becomes like one big family. In a community you spend time each day talking or working on something together to get a finished product. This isn’t work, nor is something you do just to get it done. Being a community means the work and effort you put in will be acknowledged.

Most importantly, there’s always something new to learn from each other. Even I learn something new in English from the people who’ve just started learning it.

A community makes it so that these ideas get spread and that’s the most important thing not only in a language, but in my life: to spread your ideas because there’s no such thing as a bad idea.
